Vehicle Safety News

July 28, 2008
Rapid City Journal, "Man killed in Mitsubishi SUV rollover crash"
Marc Dreis, 49, of Meadow was killed early Sunday morning in an accident when he was driving east on state Hwy. 20 about 17 miles east of Bison in Perkins County. The highway patrol said his 2006 Mitsubishi crossed the centerline and went into the north ditch, where he overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll several times, coming to rest on its wheels.

Dreis, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected through the sunroof during the rollover and died at the scene. Alcohol was a factor in the crash and evidence suggests Dreis may have fallen asleep at the wheel, the patrol said. The investigation is ongoing.
