Two off-duty firefighters were being touted as heroes Saturday after pulling a trapped woman from a burning vehicle with just seconds to spare.

The woman was a passenger in a green 1999 Kia Sportage involved in a deadly three-vehicle accident at 10:29 a.m. near Cedar Street on Savanna Road. The front of the Sportage burst into flames, with both the driver and passenger unconscious.
