Dodge Durango SUV and Dakota Truck Recall

There has been an important recall relating to the Dodge Durango SUV fuel valve defect.

On February 1, 2005, The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that DaimlerChrysler AG would be recalling nearly 26,000 Dodge Durango SUVs from the 2005 model year because of a faulty fuel tank filler valve. The valve may not fully close after refueling, which could lead to a fuel leak. In the presence of an ignition source, fuel leakage can pose a serious fire risk.
